Succulents

These charming plants have come into the spotlight in the past few years, and it's no wonder with their myriad shapes, sizes, and ease of cultivation. Unfortunately, many of the varieties for sale at box stores and some nurseries are intolerant of freezing temperatures and therefore unsuitable for planting outdoors in areas like ours. Though succulents do make very interesting dish gardens, it is also nice to be able to plant them outdoors and more or less forget about them except to admire their beauty. After all, isn't that one of the best things about succulents? All the succulents listed here are frost tolerant, just the way we like them.
